Privacy Policy – FieldTakeoff

1. Information We Collect

FieldTakeoff is designed primarily as a local-first application. Most project information is stored locally on your device unless cloud-related functionality is enabled or used.

Information that may be stored or processed includes:

• Construction project names and metadata
• PDF drawing files selected by the user
• Measurement and calibration data
• Notes and annotations
• Daily reports
• Exported reports
• Photos selected from the user’s device gallery
• Basic authentication identifiers, including anonymous Firebase Authentication user IDs when cloud functionality is used

If email-based sign-in functionality is enabled in future releases, email addresses may also be collected for authentication purposes.

2. Local Device Storage

Most FieldTakeoff project data is stored locally on your device, including:

• Imported PDFs
• Measurements
• Calibration information
• Reports
• Notes
• Attached photos

Users control the files and projects they create within the app.

3. Cloud Services

FieldTakeoff may use Google Firebase services, including:

• Firebase Authentication
• Firebase Firestore
• Firebase Storage
• Firebase App Check

When cloud functionality is used, certain project-related information may be uploaded to cloud services, including:

• Project metadata
• Measurement data
• Report-related data
• User-selected PDFs
• User-selected photos

Cloud functionality may be limited, optional, or disabled during testing phases.

4. Photo and File Access

FieldTakeoff may request access to:

• Photos and media files
• Device file storage

These permissions are used solely for:

• Selecting photos from the device gallery
• Importing PDF files
• Attaching project documentation
• Saving and exporting reports

FieldTakeoff does not use these permissions for advertising or user tracking purposes.

5. Location Information

FieldTakeoff may request foreground location access when using Daily Report weather autofill features.

Location access is:

• Optional
• Foreground-only
• Used solely to retrieve local weather conditions for reports

When this feature is used, approximate location coordinates may be transmitted securely to Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com) to retrieve weather information.

Location information is not stored locally or uploaded to Firebase services by the app.

6. Data Sharing

FieldTakeoff does not sell personal information or project data.

We do not share project information with third-party advertisers.

Information may be processed by service providers required for app functionality, including:

• Google Firebase services
• Open-Meteo weather services when weather lookup features are used

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect project information and user data.

Data stored locally relies on the security protections of the user’s device and operating system.

Cloud services use encrypted HTTPS connections provided by Firebase and related Google infrastructure.

FieldTakeoff currently does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs.

8. User Control and Data Deletion

Users may:

• Delete local projects
• Remove exported files
• Control optional cloud functionality where available
• Uninstall the application at any time

Users may request deletion of cloud-stored project data by contacting:

support@transformerstech.com

Removing the application from a device does not automatically remove cloud-stored data associated with optional cloud functionality.

9. Children’s Privacy

FieldTakeoff is not directed toward children under 13 years of age.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted with a revised effective date.
